Our Mission Portfolio
At NATO Virtual, we specialize in simulating NATO’s essential support operations. From radar surveillance to medical evacuation and strategic airlift, our members engage in high-impact, non-combat missions that make a difference.
AWACS / AEW&C
Role:
Airborne Early Warning & Control
Description:
Provide radar coverage, track air traffic, and coordinate NATO forces in real time. Operate at high altitude for maximum visibility and communication range.
Recommended Aircraft:
- Boeing E-3A Sentry (AWACS)
- Northrop Grumman E-2D Hawkeye
- Saab 340 AEW&C
- Boeing 737 AEW&C ("Wedgetail")
- EMB-145 Erieye
Strategic Airlift
Role:
Long-Range Transport of Cargo & Personnel
Description:
Transport equipment, supplies, and troops across long distances to support NATO bases and operations worldwide.
Recommended Aircraft:
- Boeing C-17 Globemaster III
- Lockheed C-130 Hercules
- Airbus A400M Atlas
- Antonov AN-124 (special logistics flights)
- C-27J Spartan
AAR – Air-to-Air Refueling
Role:
Mid-Air Refueling Support

MADEVAC / SAR / NEO (Non-Combatant Evacuation Operations)
Role:
Rescue, Medical Evacuation & Non-Combatant Evacuation
Description:
Simulate complex Search and Rescue (SAR), Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC), and Non-Combatant Evacuation Operations (NEO). These missions may involve reaching hostile, disaster-affected, or remote areas to recover injured personnel or evacuate civilians in crisis zones. Precision, speed, and coordination are critical under high-pressure scenarios.

SIGINT / ISR / Patrols
Role:
Intelligence Gathering, Surveillance, Electronic Reconnaissance, Maritime and Ground Patrol
Description:
These missions focus on the strategic and tactical collection of intelligence through electronic signals (SIGINT), surveillance of maritime or land areas, and reconnaissance operations. Operating at high or low altitudes, these platforms provide vital situational awareness, detect potential threats, and support mission planning with real-time data. ISR capabilities often include radar, optical sensors, communication intercepts, and onboard analysis systems.
